Advisory Notes In determining whether interference is caused to stations of the aeronautical radionavigation service ACMA will have regard to the Report on JTIDS Compatibility with SSR Interrogators by Airservices Australia dated 7 December 1999.

Conditions applicable to the operation of Defence station(s) authorised under this licence can be found in the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Apparatus Licence) Determination. Copies of this determination are available from the ACMA and from the ACMA home page (www.acma.gov.au).

Protection from interference from stations of other services operating in accordance with the Australian Radiofrequency Spectrum Plan or the Radio Regulations of the International Telecoummunication Union is not afforded.

Stations in the radionavigation-satellite service operate in this band.

The Master International Frequency Register (MIFR) is maintained by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in accordance with the Radio Regulations.

The memorandum of understanding between the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Department of Defence contains matters relevant to the operation of radiocommunications stations under this licence.
Special Conditions Stations must not cause harmful interference to stations of other services operating in accordance with the Australian Radiofrequency Spectrum Plan or the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union.

The operation of stations must be in accordance with the Australian Radiofrequency Spectrum Plan and the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union.

Stations must use spread spectrum modulation and be operated principally for the purpose of defence.

Space stations are not authorised unless there is an entry recorded in either the Radiocommunications (Australian Space Objects) Determination or the Radiocommunications (Foreign Space Objects) Determination made by ACMA and the frequency assignments are recorded in the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR) of the International Telecommunication Union.
